What to do in Sungai Lembing & Itinerary

I am joining Adventure Village's tour to Sungai Lembing in Pahang state, Malaysia. I am planning the food stops and slotting them into Adventure Village's itinerary 😁

As I have not been to Sungai Lembing before, the plan is based on web resources and advice from friends and Johor Kaki readers. Thank you 🙏 to friends who responded to my calls for help. When I return, I will re-blog about my Sungai Lembing trip with actual personal experiences on the ground.

Visited Chicken Up Johor Bahru, the hugely popular Korean themed food joint from Singapore (where it has 7 outlets). The first Chicken Up outlet in JB was very well received, where it saw long queues since it opened a couple of months ago.

It's been three days since the announcement on 21 Jul 2016 but I am still over the moon about Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodles 香港油雞飯麵 winning a Michelin Star in the inaugural Singapore Michelin Guide 2016.

I have a quirk of rooting for underdogs.

This is such an inspiring story in so many ways.

I was invited to taste the 6 course modern European set dinner menu by The Clan Restaurant at Pomo Mall at Selegie Road in Singapore. It was a scrumptious meal, made with premium ingredients, well executed, professionally served by attentive staff in a comfortable, well appointed restaurant. Stumbled upon this really good ikan bakar stall today at BR 新国花 coffee shop in Permas Jaya. I've been here at BR coffee shop a few times before but somehow missed this 999 Ikan Bakar stall. It's one of my favourite ikan bakar stalls in Malaysia and Singapore now. For lucky JB folks, this brilliant stall in Permas Jaya is so accessible 😄

Johor Bahru Classical Music Festival 2016 - Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) presents One Thousand and One Nights JK1530

Last night (19 Jun 2016) the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) performed at Johor Bahru's Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios to bring the JB Classical Music Festival 2016 to a crescendo and magnificent close. It was a fitting finale to 5 days of classical music extravaganza beginning on 15 Jun which took the JB arts, culture, and music scene to a new high.
