Skudai R&R • Northsouth Hwy Rest Stop • Petrol, Food, Cash, Shop, Toilet Nearest to JB or SG

On my way back to Johor Bahru or Singapore on the Northsouth Expressway, I use the Skudai R & R which is 1km from the Skudai toll - the last toll gate before the JB CIQ (immigration).

The easiest way (for me) to find Skudai R & R is to use a navigation app. I use WAVES, so I will never miss the exit 😁

There are four different brands of petrol here. After you exit the highway, the first petrol station you will see on your left is Petron. Next you will see a cluster of Shell, Caltex and BHP stations.

This rest stop is the last chance to top up petrol without leaving the Northsouth Expressway.

Here is also the last chance to tank up on Magnum along the highway before clearing immigration 🤭

An ATM can be a lifesaver sometimes. There's one inside the Shell station 🙏

If Shell is not your cup of tea, there's Caltex.

If your car don't drink, there are EV charging points at the Caltex station.

If you or your party are peckish, there's a Burger King outlet at the Caltex station.

The BHP station will open later in Oct 2022.

The BHP station will have EV charging points.

There will also be a Texas Chicken outlet, so fried chicken fans have something to look forward to. Fans of Roti Boy will be happy to hear that there will also be an outlet here by end Oct 2022.

There is a Starbucks here to cool our heels and chill before the final push to JB or SG.

If you are a Starbucks merchandise fan, this is a good place to expand your collection.

For me, my usual flat white will do 😁

There is also a FamilyMart at Skudai R & R.

The hot oden station which FamilyMart is famous for.

Convenient onigiri rice balls for your onward journey, especially helpful if you are in a hurry. Keep a couple in the car in case of traffic jam 😬

The multi innovative flavours of Eureka popcorn which are the rage now.

Not really my cup of tea but here's the menu and price list for those who are fans.

Spick and span public toilets, so critical for travellers 👍

Clean and well maintained. There was toilet paper when I visited 👍

These toilets are certified among the cleanest by the Malaysian Ministry of Health 👍

Free wifi at the rest stop. Just hit the button for the password 😉
