Maxwell Road Food Centre is the chicken rice central of Singapore with 8 different stalls all offering Singapore's unofficial national dish. Recently, I spent a month combing the hawker stalls in Maxwell Road Food Centre to prepare a Tanjong Pagar food trail.

Dropped by today with friends at the newly opened Sin Kee Famous Cantonese Chicken Rice stall at Chang Chen Mee Wah coffee shop at Holland Drive near Buona Vista MRT station. I personally like this chicken rice though the response of our group of 8 was mixed.

Since Margaret Drive hawker centre was demolished, I followed them at different places through the years. Now, Niven Leong, son of Sin Kee's founder is at Ubi DMQ Eating House near Ubi MRT station.
